Overview

Motion Studio is a complete custom bones and inverse-kinematics solution for trueSpace. The package also includes a number of advanced features specifically orientated toward character animation.

Supported Versions of trueSpace

trueSpace 5.1 (with sp2), 5.2, and 6.0 are supported.

Activation

Motion Studio runs in save-disabled demo mode until it is activated. See full details here under Licensing and Activation.

What To Expect

Motion Studio behaves a little differently than other IK systems you may have encountered. Specifically:

Skeletons are controlled by moving joints, not bones. Motion Studio joints are similar to targets seen in other systems.
All bones respond equally to IK. In other systems, only parent bones are affected by IK.
There are no rotation constraints in this version of Motion Studio.
Motion Studio supports multiple nails (also sometimes called anchors).

Other features:

Motion Studio supports vertex-weighted bone blending and provides a powerful custom vertex painter.
The included Dope Sheet and Shuttle controls extend or replace existing trueSpace animation controls.
Pose-blending and storage are provided by the Pose Library and the Blender.

To see some character action right away, load the Mouse.MoS.SDS.cob from the Motion Studio Library folder, and then click the Play button on the Shuttle to play the walk cycle animation.
